https://www.photoroom.com/tools/background-remover is a way better background remover and its free , corel never gives you a ready print there's always pixels left .. its pretty useless, That also goes with the NEW AI terrible absouletly terrible and theres a credit system for that. LOL I can list 10 free Ai models that are free and blow that out of the water .. Still Love corel but this was half botched idea's .
Just a quick clarification: the new AI Background Remover actually runs locally on your PC, so it doesn't consume any AI credits (you might be thinking of the generative AI features).
Personally, the feature has been working quite well for me. However, I completely agree that dealing with leftover pixels on complex images can be frustrating.
As an improvement, I think Corel should combine this new AI engine with the workflow of the "Object Extractor" tool found in Corel PHOTO-PAINT. That tool uses simple brushes and fill buckets to manually specify what to keep and what to remove.
Instead of relying 100% on automated AI, it would be amazing if we could use a brush to guide the AI—quickly highlighting areas we definitely want to "Keep" or explicitly marking parts as "Background." If the AI could process the edges based on those manual hints, it would give us the perfect balance of AI speed and precise user control.
Thank you for your feedback on background removal. We will look into improving quality.
