The current "Grammatik" tool is functionally broken in modern Japanese OS environments, displaying extensive character corruption (mojibake) in the UI (see attached screenshot). This confirms that the underlying technology is outdated and no longer compatible with modern system locales.
As CorelDRAW is used to create professional multi-page documents, relying on an isolated, legacy dialog window that is both broken and English-only is unacceptable. I request a modernized proofing system that aligns with industry standards like Microsoft Word.
Key Requirements:
Dockable Interface: The proofing tool should be redesigned as a Docking Window (panel) to integrate seamlessly with the workspace and avoid workflow interruptions.
Global (Document-wide) Proofing: The system must scan the entire document (all pages and text objects), not just specific selections, to prevent oversight.
Multilingual Support: Full support for major languages including Japanese, Chinese, and English for grammar and context checks.
User Dictionary with Import/Export: To avoid false positives for industry-specific terminology and proper nouns, a customizable dictionary is essential. It must support adding/removing terms and include Import/Export functionality to ensure terminology consistency across team projects.
Microsoft Word is the industry standard for document proofing. Integrating a modern, multilingual, and document-wide proofing system directly into CorelDRAW’s workspace would significantly improve productivity and quality control for professional document production in non-English regions.
