Restore Medium Theme and Additional Interface Contrast Options in CorelDRAW 2026

I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with the removal of the Medium theme and other intermediate interface appearance options in CorelDRAW 2026.

As a long-time CorelDRAW user (v. 4), I find the current choice between only "Light" and "Dark" themes unacceptable. Light is excessively bright, while Dark is so black that interface text, icons, and tool labels become difficult to read. Previous versions offered more balanced choices, including Medium, which provided a much more usable working environment. This is not simply a matter of personal preference. I have medically significant light sensitivity and visual accessibility challenges. I wear FL-41 filtered lenses specifically to reduce photophobia, screen glare, and visual discomfort. Even with those accommodations, the Light theme is unnecessarily harsh, while the Dark theme creates readability and contrast problems of its own.

Removing intermediate theme options reduces accessibility and forces users into an all-or-nothing choice that does not meet a wide range of visual needs. Accessibility should mean providing more choice, not less.

I am requesting that Corel:

• Restore the Medium theme that existed in previous releases.

• Restore additional appearance options, including Black if it has been removed.

• Provide customizable interface brightness and contrast controls.

• Allow users to independently adjust the color of toolbars, panels, dialogs, and workspace elements.

• Consult users with accessibility requirements before removing established interface options in future versions.

I have already updated to the latest release, Version 27.1.0.129, and the issue remains unchanged.

CorelDRAW has always been valued by professionals because it offered flexibility and customization. The removal of interface choices moves the product in the opposite direction and negatively affects usability for many users, particularly those with visual disabilities and photosensitivity.

Please treat this as both a usability and accessibility concern, and give serious consideration to restoring the missing theme options in a future update.

I would appreciate a response indicating whether restoration of the Medium theme is currently under consideration by the product team.
